Our Story

Berry Jane™ is a USA-made apparel line focused on creating fun, classic and elegant leggings designed with a girls’ “inner fashionista” in mind. The image and appeal of the brand is based in its unique products combining the air of 1980’s nostalgia.
Berry Jane™ was created by American fashion designer, Ava Marie Carmichael in the Fall of 2007. It wasn’t until 2009 that the line took on a new face.

It is our intention at Berry Jane™ to build a company and products with an emphasis on integrity, creativity, quality, innovation and creative thinking.

 
Clothing from a child’s perspective:

The designer selects fabrics, colors and prints that will appeal to girls (and moms, too!)
A black lace legging paired with a pink Spandex legging create a dynamic duo with a funky twist.
"What girl doesn't want to stand out in the crowd or sparkle and shine when she walks?  As little girls, we all remember what it felt like to dress up like Madonna or Cyndi Lauper and dance and sing in front of the mirror.  The essence of this brand is to recreate that mood.  It's a feeling that never fades, it just transcends.  Now, it's Hannah Montana who has replaced the Cyndi and Madonna of 1984".

Berry Jane™ is not simply another children’s wear brand. It is designed to have a unique effect on girls that no other legging line has. Girls see their Berry Jane™ leggings not just as pants, but as a fashion statement, an expression and even a customizable product to have FUN with!

Our lines are not determined by focus groups or copies of what has already been done or over-played, rather, we consult with our end consumer: Girls from all ages and backgrounds. We constantly strive to be innovative and fresh, always keeping in mind the innocence, imagination and playfulness that embody what it means to be a girl at the forefront in the creative process.

Innovation, originality, innocence, playfulness and quality are our mantra and these elements will be found in all of our garments.
